photoshop made July 9th 2006 - about the full moon in Montreal where you/we are not allowed to enter or walk or remain in most parks or public spaces after 24hr. even if there is a beautiful full moon outside. There is a sign that says a fine ( i heard of 300$00 / ) may me applied, and that is for now, because soon they may arrest us for walking the streets after mid-night ? look at what has become of us in the land of "freedom" and democracy, in the name of safety ? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk7_4aZY34A they put more signs to keep us blind and already we do not see ... why ? The Future SHOULD NOT BE DISCUSSED IN PUBLIC PLACES ? QUESTIONS LIKE ; IS THE ISLAND OF MONTREAL ANOTHER FLOOD RISK CITY ? www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q98CvbgLV8 OR IF WE FOUGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM WHY ARE WE GIVING IT AWAY NOW ACCEPTING STUPID LAWS LIKE THE MID-NIGHT CURFEW ? www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ac5WsOwK6w

Chavez: U.S. support for Israel to lead to Holocaust

"Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Friday that U.S. backing of Israel is responsible for flaming tensions in the Middle East and putting the world on course toward another "Holocaust."

"The fundamental blame falls again on the U.S. empire. It's the empire that armed and supported the abuses of the Israeli elite, which has invaded, abused and defied the United Nations for a long time," Chavez said in a speech during a military act in Caracas.

Worse, it's craziness with nuclear bombs. (The Israelis) have their weapons of mass destruction and nobody criticizes them, nobody says anything because the empire is behind them," Chavez said."

Rice urges Israel to 'exercise restraint' in Lebanon
Senator John W. Warner, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, issued a written statement Friday calling on the Bush administration to "think through very carefully how Israel's extraordinary reaction could affect our operations in Iraq and our joint diplomatic efforts to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue.

"This is a very critical time for the U.S. in the Middle East, and the Israeli actions will certainly have an impact beyond Lebanon and Gaza," Warner warned. "
www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/738183.html

The European Union on Thursday criticized Israel for using what it called "disproportionate" force in its attacks on Lebanon following Wednesday's raid by Hezbollah guerillas who killed eight Israel Defense Forces soldier and abducted two soldiers.

"The European Union is greatly concerned about the disproportionate use of force by Israel in Lebanon in response to attacks by Hezbollah on Israel," according to a statement issued by Finland which holds the EU's rotating presidency. "The presidency deplores the loss of civilian lives and the destruction of civilian infrastructure. The imposition of an air and sea blockade on Lebanon cannot be justified."

" ST. PETERSBURG -- President Bush refused to press Israel for a cease-fire in Middle East violence yesterday, risking a wider breach with world leaders at a weekend summit already confronting crises with Iran and North Korea...
Turning aside complaints that Israel is using excessive force, the president rejected a cease-fire plea from Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora... In contrast with Mr. Bush's stand, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, "No hostage takings are acceptable ... but neither is the use of full-scale force in response to these, even if unlawful, actions. We will demand that all sides involved in the conflict immediately stop the bloodshed."

The summit is expected to issue a Middle East declaration, and the United States tried to shape it to be critical of Hezbollah and supportive of Lebanon's fragile government. "

"Israeli army chief Dan Halutz said on Friday more targets would be bombed in a bid to remove Hizbollah from the border and replace it with a force answering to the Lebanese government.

He said Israel was also telling the Lebanese that "they swallowed a cancer that has to be regurgitated, and if not this country will pay a price as in the past" — an allusion to Israel's 1982 invasion to drive out Palestinian guerrillas.

The Israeli army said on Saturday it had hit about 150 targets in Lebanon since the start of the offensive, with only less than a dozen linked directly to Hizbollah.

South Lebanon-based Hizbollah has backing from Iran and is Syria's main ally in neighbouring Lebanon.

"Limited War" in Lebanon
Noam Chomsky
Z Magazine, September, 1993
"Israel is free to ignore such minor annoyances as the Security Council and international law thanks to the stance of its superpower patron, which is powerful enough to reduce the UN to an instrument of its foreign policy and to shape international law as it chooses, as was seen once again in the ludicrous legal arguments put forth to justify Clinton's bombing of Iraq in June....
Shadows of the Past ...
one of the most notorious being the massacre of all remaining inhabitants of the Lebanese town of Khiam during Israel's 1978 invasion; the population had been reduced from 30,000 to 32 by Israeli bombing in earlier years. During its 1982 invasion, Israel selected Khiam as the site of its notorious Ansar I prison camp, used since to punish people suspected of anti-Israel activity in Lebanon, or their relatives, thus to undermine any resistance to the South Lebanon Army. There is ample evidence of hideous conditions and savage torture, reported by the press in Israel and England, but not authenticated by the Red Cross or any humanitarian organization because Israel refuses to allow any access to the horror chamber run by its proxies under its supervision.''...
By the time Israel invaded in 1978, Nabatiye's population of 60,000 had been reduced to 5,000, the remainder having fled "mostly from fear of the [Israeli] shelling," the Jerusalem Post reported. Others fared similarly.
... The July 1993 operations are intended to advance all of these prospects, making it clear to the Arab states and Palestinians that they have no choice but to yield to the force exercised by Israel under US protection. All other possibilities have been eliminated in the New World Order, in which there is no deterrent to US force, no space for independent initiatives ("neutralism," "nonalignment"), no annoying impediments from international institutions, and no thought of a European role in what is recognized to be US turf."

"Israeli aircraft attacked the Palestinian Economy Ministry and a house in Gaza on Saturday. One Hamas militant was killed in the strike on the house and eight people were wounded.

Aircraft also bombed a bridge in central Gaza. Palestinian officials said there no casualties in the bridge or ministry attacks.

Since the Gaza offensive was launched on June 28, Israel has killed more than 80 Palestinians, most of them militants.

Israel's aerial assault on Lebanon has drawn mounting world criticism but the White House has said President Bush would not press Israel to halt its military operation.

Syria's ruling Baath Party said it would support Hizbollah and Lebanon against the "barbaric Israeli aggression."

"We would be idiots if we believed it was only about the Israeli captives," Hazem Saghieh, a senior Lebanese columnist with the London-based Arabic newspaper Al-Hayat, told The Associated Press...
"The issue, at the end of the day, is all about Syria and Iran, and Hezbollah is just giving them more trump cards," Saghieh said...
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Friday that Israel couldn't hurt Iran in its campaign, declaring Israel and its Western supporters "do not even have the power to give Iran a nasty look."

Earlier, he called Syrian President Bashar Assad and assured him that if Israel attacks Syria "it will be equivalent to an attack on the whole Islamic world and the regime (Israel) will face a crushing response."

Flood Forecasting
"Demand for NWS river-forecast services continues to grow owing to an expanding population, urbanization, and economic growth-NWS now provides forecast services at about 4,000 locations. Although new radar technologies and computer visualization techniques hold significant promise for improving the timeliness and accuracy of river forecasts and flood warnings, ground-based verification will still be needed even after such technologies are in place. The need for real-time verification of river discharge and subsequent model adjustment is more than a scientific quest for accuracy; it is critically important to maintain model accuracy to minimize economic damage and human suffering. The detail and timeliness of the required data can be furnished only by on-site stream-gaging stations."

Sometimes to create art one needs music, other times to create you need silence
one thing that is hardest is to work to the sound of the media, the sound pollution that travels by satellites and cables is making our brains pop, like the underwater sonic sounds of war submarines is making whales suicide.
Some of us are quietly waiting a big storm that will clean all the unnecessary garbage to that already dark planet over there, so that we can re-start on earth in a new direction, and hopefully in time to save the last species in extinction that our careless actions are killing... why ? because if you do not love others, you can't love yourself, and you can't love yourself knowing that you caused the death of the world . We lose the love of others , we destroy our self's, we perish

National survey of adults shows that Democrats more likely to have tattoos, but regret for getting them is highest among Republicans.
Democrats are more likely to have tattoos (18%) than Republicans (14%) and Independents (12%) while nearly equal percentages of males (16%) and females (15%) have tattoos. Additionally, those with tattoos said that having a tattoo has made them feel more rebellious (29%) while others said a tattoo makes them feel more attractive (26%). The Mysterious Island was about industrial exploits of men stranded on an island (see: Robinsonade Daniel Defoe). In these works, filmed several times, Verne combined science and invention with fast-paced adventure. Some of Verne's fiction has also become a fact: his submarine Nautilus predated the first successful power submarine by a quarter century, and his spaceship predicted the development a century later. The first all-electric submarine, built in 1886 by two Englishmen, was named Nautilus in honor of Verne's vessel. The first nuclear-powered submarine, launched in 1955, was named Nautilus, too."

The Word of the Day for July 10 is: fealty
Did you know?
In 1626, Francis Bacon wrote, "Fealty is to take an oath upon a book, that he will be a faithful Tenant to the King." That's a pretty accurate summary of the early meaning of "fealty." Early forms of the term were used in Middle English around 1300, when they specifically designated the loyalty of a vassal to a lord. Eventually, the meaning of the word broadened. Fealty can be paid to a country, a principle, or a leader of any kind—though the synonyms "fidelity" and "loyalty" are more commonly used. "Fealty" comes from the Anglo-French word "feelté," or "fealté," which comes from the Latin "fidelitas," meaning "fidelity." These words are ultimately derived from "fides," the Latin word for "faith."

- CHECK IT OUT, my objective here is not to advertise business of any kind , but i do hope we find alternative energies, and rely less and less on oil, too much drilling is causing ecological damage death to wildlife and it is for the informed a nightmare, many are not sleeping well as a result i know...
so it seems that pollution from cities by the sea also causes unhealthy, allergy causing algae... is this not true ? correct me if i'm wrong ...so Algae BioFuels can be a way to clean up pollution and at same time an alternative to oil ? for some, even if only for some it's a good start, waist no time, search for alternatives before it's too late...i do not make commission on the information below, and it's up to you to check the validity, i am just a messenger passing on what i think may be wise to look into ....
PetroSun Announces Formation of Algae BioFuels

Petro Sun Drilling Inc. an emerging provider of oilfield
services to major and independent producers of oil and natural gas,
announced today that the company has formed Algae BioFuels Inc. as a
wholly owned subsidiary. Algae BioFuels will be engaged in the research and
development of algae cultivation as an energy source in the production
of biodiesel, an economically feasible and eco-friendly alternative to
petroleum-based transportation fuels. The R&D and production facilities
for Algae BioFuels will be based in Arizona and Australia.

"Petro Sun's formation of Algae BioFuels is a forward-looking strategy,"
said L. Rayfield Wright, president of PetroSun. "The 0pp0rtunity to
produce a renewable energy product that will assist in providing a
healthier planet for future generations cannot be ignored."

Biofuel is any fuel that is derived from biomass -- which contains
recently living organisms or their metabolic byproducts. Biofuel is a
renewable energy source, unlike other natural resources such as petroleum,
coal and nuclear fuels. Agricultural products specifically grown for use
as biofuels include corn and soybeans.

Extensive research is currently being conducted to determine the utilization of microalgae as an energy source, with applications being developed for biodiesel, ethanol, methanol, methane and even hydrogen. Independent studies have demonstrated that algae is capable of producing 30 times more oil per acre than the current crops now utilized for the production of biofuels. Algae biofuel contains no sulfur, is non-toxic and highly biodegradable.

The Office of Fuels Development, a division of the Department of Energy, funded a program from 1978 through 1996 under the National Renewable Energy Laboratory known as the "Aquatic Species Program."

The focus of this program was to investigate high-oil algae that could be grown specifically for the purpose of wide-scale biodiesel production. Some species of algae are ideally suited to biodiesel production due to their high oil content, in excess of 50%, and extremely rapid growth rates.

One of the biggest advantages of biodiesel, compared to many other alternative transportation fuels, is that it can be used in existing diesel engines, which relieves automotive manufacturers of having to make costly engine modifications. Biodiesel can also be mixed, at any ratio, with conventional petroleum diesel. As a result, the alternative fuel can be used in the current distribution infrastructure, replacing petroleum diesel either wholly, or as a diesel fuel blend with minimal integration costs.

About PetroSun

PetroSun's current operations are concentrated in the Ark-La-Tex region with plans to expand into New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Australia in 2006. PetroSun provides a comprehensive array of products and services to the oil industry. The company's cutting-edge technologies, combined with a proven ability to apply them effectively and safely within a disciplined ROI framework, creates long-term value for PetroSun shareholders and partners.

Stephen Harper at the G8: Keep your promises to Make Poverty History!
Dear Make Poverty History supporter,
One year ago, billions of people around the world watched 10 simultaneous Live8 concerts and petitioned the G8 leaders to Make Poverty History. The politicians of the wealthiest countries made historic commitments to act in 2005 to reduce debt, improve trade and increase aid. If they think we've forgotten their promises - you can prove them wrong!

U2's Bono recently said that wealthy countries are taking some action on debt, doing little on aid, and failing in terms of trade initiatives: “Overall, there is one cheer on debt, half a cheer on AIDS and boos and wolf whistles for what is happening on trade,” the Irish rocker told Reuters.

The 2006 G8 meeting, to be held in Russia from July 15 - 17, will be Prime Minister Stephen Harper's first summit. Unfortunately, poverty is not high on the agenda. Leaders are planning to discuss energy security and infectious diseases, but development concerns could arise when they debate themes of health and education. At a June 29th press conference with Steven Page of the Barenaked Ladies and Toronto's Mayor David Miller, Make Poverty History co-chair Gerry Barr said,” The upcoming summit will focus on health and education - and that's good. But no progress will be made unless G8 leaders live up to and surpass promises already made on aid, debt and trade.”
Go to www.makepovertyhistory.ca/e/home.php and send an email to Prime Minister Harper and your own MP. Tell them you expect Canada to commit to increased action, including a firm timetable to reach 0.7% of Gross National Income for aid, enhanced debt cancellation for the poorest countries, and trade justice - especially for developing economies.

One year after an historic deal is not the time to retreat. At the G8, Stephen Harper should show Canadian leadership to Make Poverty History.

Timor gas revenue must go to the poor-U.N. report

However, the report warned investment so far has mostly
gone to the capital Dili, with only a third of total public
expenditure and a fifth of goods and services targeting rural
districts.

"Growth will have to start with agriculture, which employs
nearly three-quarters of the labour force," said Sukehiro

statement.
East Timor suffered considerable damage to its
infrastructure as well as some 1,000 deaths in 1999 in violence
blamed mainly on pro-Jakarta militia backed by Indonesian
military elements.

Canada having warmest year on record
Jul. 14, 2006. 07:37 PM
SEAN PATRICK SULLIVAN
CANADIAN PRESS
" 2006 is shaping up be the country's warmest year on record"

an expert says the balmy weather may bring an increased threat of West Nile virus and more powerful hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean.
archives.cbc.ca/IDC-1-68-754-4635/arts_entertainment/grou...
Data collected by Environment Canada shows the winter and spring of this year — from December 2005 through May 2006 — to be the warmest since nationwide record-keeping began in 1948.
archives.cbc.ca/IDC-1-68-754-4634/arts_entertainment/grou...
"If you stick a thermometer into Canada you're going to see there's fever there," said senior climatologist David Phillips, adding June and July are already above average.
archives.cbc.ca/IDC-1-68-754-4631/arts_entertainment/grou...
The average temperature for March through May was 3C higher than usual.

In the last nine years, Phillips said, only two seasons have measured out to be cooler than normal.
www.mayberryfineart.com/artist/frank_johnston/21776
"That almost dispels any doubt that Canada is warmer now than it has been in a long, long time," he said.
cybermuse.gallery.ca/cybermuse/search/artwork_zoom_e.jsp?...
Phillips cautions that the unusually warm weather — including a winter average that was up by 3.9C — is both a blessing and a curse.
cybermuse.gallery.ca/cybermuse/search/artwork_zoom_e.jsp?...
For example, seal hunters in Atlantic Canada scrambled to find ice this spring, while gleeful farmers across the country were able to start their growing season about a week early.
bertc.com/jackson_9.htm
"From an agricultural point-of-view, it's clearly been a winner," he said.
bertc.com/jackson_7.htm
But with so little ice in Atlantic Canada, Phillips said there's a concern that the tropical storms that come north into Canadian waters may not die out as quickly as usual.
bertc.com/jackson_6.htm
The cold water usually puts the brakes on tropical storms.
bertc.com/jackson_2.htm
"We don't know yet, but normally warmer water there means storms will have more punch than they usually do," he said.
bertc.com/jackson21.htm
The balmy winter and spring may also have set the stage for an increase in pests and West Nile-carrying mosquitoes.
peter.risjak.net/about/images/18.jpg
A harsh winter usually freezes solid things like varmints, diseases, viruses, and pine beetles, which eliminates them.
peter.risjak.net/about/images/17.jpg
"Any invasion (of pests) will be blamed on the winter," he said, adding that the favourable conditions for West Nile virus has some concerned, as more mosquito larvae survived the winter time.
peter.risjak.net/pictures/images/pictures/08.jpg
Despite the sometimes overwhelming heat in parts of the country this summer, the vast stretches of the Arctic actually make Canada the second-coldest country in the world.
peter.risjak.net/pictures/images/pictures/04.jpg
Canada's previous title as the world's coldest country was usurped by Russia when the Soviet Union split up and Russia lost its warmer, eastern regions.

"Kandinsky, himself an accomplished musician, once said Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul. The concept that color and musical harmony are linked has a long history, intriguing scientists such as Sir Isaac Newton. Kandinsky used color in a highly theoretical way associating tone with timbre (the sound's character), hue with pitch, and saturation with the volume of sound. He even claimed that when he saw color he heard music."

The high school TEST RESULTS are coming BACK IN JULY
everywhere in the world
many teens and adults panic and go into depression
AND MANY of the INTELLIGENT students FAIL WHY ?
BECAUSE THEY DIGESTED TOO MUCH
THE SCHOOL FOOD is NOT MEANT TO BE DIGESTED
JUST TO BE VOMITED BACK INTO THE TEST,
NOT TOO MUCH THINKING REQUIRED
multiple choice questions look for grammar errors
take a guess ? ...
i know i keep failing them
i think the Minister of Education should be doing some
grave digging, or make video games or work in the "torture" department of the SISC ?
since he likes the nightmare aspect of evolution

THIS IS WHY TO DO A fast and FAST few days REVIEW THEN DO THE TEST NEXT DAY

, MAY HELP, ? cheat may help and creating silly rimes to help remember facts, ( like sticking fingers in your mouth t pull vomit ) may help , to overcome irrationalor non-sense facts or occurrences in life use similar silly, irrational behavior, grease gets cleaned with grease... right ?

"My claim is actually a little different: I claim that it's easier for a 16 year old to learn to read voluntarily than for a six year old to be forced to learn to read. Most children in literate societies want to learn to read, many of them quite desperately. The importance of reading is not lost on most six year olds and the rest are already likely not to learn how to read in our current schools."

THE IDEA IS TO NOT HOLD ON TO school INFORMATION, FOR TOO LONG , IF YOU VOMIT IT BACK STILL IN SOLID CHUNKS YOU have better chances of PASSing the tests, BUT IF YOU START THINKING AND THINKING THIS act of DIGESTING AND PUTTING AWAY, can make YOU MAY FAIL THE TEST...

"Children need to be propagandised to use birth control - no disagreement - but then we should round up all the children in the neighbourhood and force them to sit through a sex ed lecture in hopes that some of it will sink in, or we should put condom ads on TV to make them think Sheik is chic. But we need to be clear that that is propaganda and not education. "

THE NEED TO OBEY
ALL BECOME VERY VERY IMPORTANT
" If you learned history in a US public school, the last you may have heard of Canada was when loyalists scoundrels scampered across the border to still-British North America. One has the feeling of entering a refugee camp, joining the sullen revanchists huddled along the border. (90% of the meagre 33 million Canadians live within 100 miles of the US border.) At the very latest, one heard of the US forces razing York (now Toronto) in the War of 1812, which the British avenged by sacking Washington and torching the White House. Dolly Madison barely escaped with her ice cream intact.

More recently, if you followed the news in the US, you might think that Canada was the name of a drugstore chain. And then the US offered to shoot down US-bound Korean ICBMs so they would fall on Canada, garnering remarkably little gratitude."

outros fazem hortinhas
